Customizing your Calendar Date

Once you have copied the link to your calendar, you can customize what date will show first when visitors click on your calendar link. If you do not create a customized date for your calendar link, the calendar link will use the browser date settings of the person viewing your calendar link.

Using the Date URL Parameter

You can add the date parameter (&date=yyyy-mm-dd) to the end of your calendar URL, where “yyyy-mm-dd” is replaced by the date of your choice.

In the example below, we show what your standard calendar link looks like, and what your modified calendar looks like with the date parameter highlighted in yellow.

This example uses the date August, 5th 2002.

What the link looks like:

This example uses the date October, 22nd 2014.
